Allow the test card, urine specimen, and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature prior to testing.
The donor provides the specimen and the collector verifies temperature is within range of 90-100 Fahrenheit
Step 2
Remove the Accutest® MultiDrug Screen test card from the sealed pack just prior to testing. Then remove the test card cap.
Immerse the strips of the test card vertically in the urine specimen for at least 10-15 seconds until pink color can be seen in each window. The absorbent strip should be immersed midway between the end of the strip and the plastic of the test card (within the area of the wavy lines). Do not allow urine to touch the plastic test card.
Replace cap over absorbent strips.
Place the test card on a non-absorbent flat surface, start the timer and wait for the pink lines to appear.
The results should be read at 5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 10 minutes.
