Step 1

1. The donor is given the SplitCup, while the key is retained by the technician.
    
2. The donor removes the cap, provides the specimen, and then replaces the cap securely by pressing down on all three corners of the lid.
      

Step 2

1. The medical technician checks the cap for a tight seal and then dates, then donor initials the security seal and places the seal over the top of the cup.
